Frequently Asked Questions
Is Kristoffer Going To Lead The Tour Personally?
Yes, all tours are lead my me exclusively.
How Do I Book a Guided Tour?
I recommend that you read a bit about my range of suggested bike tours and city walks here first, and then send me an email with your preferences and details. I can create a program that suits you perfectly. In the end, I will send a confirmation email with everything you need to know.
What if we have special requests for our guided tour?
It’s almost only your imagination that sets the limit for how we can structure and arrange your guided tour. You may have already seen some of the city or wish to focus on a particular neighborhood—we will find a solution. Perhaps you want to take a break at a special place or have other needs. I will do everything I can; just send me an email or give me a call, and I’ll work on it.
Is there a break on our tour for bathroom visits and water stops?
If you have booked a tour of 3 hours or more, I usually try to include a short bathroom and water break. If the tour is shorter, we can definitely prioritize it, but that will, of course, limit the program.
What if we need to cancel or if it rains heavily on the day?
I want you to have the best possible experience on your guided tour. If, for example, it rains heavily and you wish to change the date or time of your tour, just call me, and we can usually find an alternative solution. However, the tour can certainly be carried out and enjoyed in a little rain.
Up to a week before the date of your guided tour, you can cancel without a fee. After that, I reserve the right to charge a fee of €100 to compensate for having to decline other potential customers and keeping my calendar open for you.
Is it safe to cycle in Berlin?
I carefully choose the routes for my tours and am trained to handle cycling tours for the public. We prefer routes that lead away from the busy main roads of the city and try, whenever possible, to follow quiet streets and bike paths for maximum safety and enjoyment.
A large portion of households in Berlin do not own a car, and traveling by bike or public transport is the norm here, which means that drivers are accustomed to cyclists.
In Berlin, it is possible to enjoy a safe and relaxed cycling experience, even with children.
Are there others joining our tour?
I am not currently offering public guided tours, so this is your very own tour, and essentially, the only important thing for the planning and execution is that it aligns with your preferences.
Can we pay on the day?
In most circumstances, yes, as long as I have your contact information in case of a no-show.
Can we be picked up at our hotel or start the tour at our convenience?
Since it’s your tour, anything is possible within reasonable limits. For example, bikes can even be transported to you and picked up again for a cost of €10 per bike each way. However, for cycling tours, we usually start at one of my two providers in Prenzlauer Berg.
What is recommended for us to bring on our tour?
- Clothing suitable for the wind and weather. It’s always a good idea to bring an extra layer and a rain jacket unless clear skies are promised.
- Good shoes, sunscreen, water, and a small snack to keep your energy levels and concentration up.
Can you help us with our school or study trip to Berlin?
Do you need assistance, advice, and guidance for planning your trip to Berlin, or do you just have questions? Feel Free to inquire, and I would be happy to assist you. If it’s more extensive, I can gladly send you a completely non-binding offer.
