My Story
When I moved to Berlin in 2016, it was intended as a temporary stay. But with a lifelong interest in history, I grew more and more interested in delving into the city, even though I didn’t initially feel like I fit in as a typical “Berliner.” Having grown up in Africa, as well as in a small village in rural Denmark, and studied in Copenhagen as a geographer, Berlin wasn’t the most obvious place to end up. Now I can’t imagine being anywhere else – and it had to be a bit exotic, after all. After a few years, I felt the pull of history, and inspired by a good friend, I convinced myself to give it a shot and started organizing my own guided tours.

Min Guide Filosofi
As a guide, I try to provide an overview of Berlin’s vibrant and shifting eras, with stories that encompass architecture, culture, war, and the rebirth of a nation. We may not mention every historical date or check off every attraction, but hopefully, my stories about the final months in Hitler’s claustrophobic bunker and the transformations of the Brandenburg Gate will make your tour something to remember.
